My favorite compact enthusiast gaming keyboard—and the one I use every single day—is a Prime Day bargain-

There’s a lot to love about this wee gaming keyboard, despite the fact that I really, really don’t like normal 60% keyboards. That’s something I kicked off my review of the Mountain Everest 60 with when I checked it out way back in the mists of time (April 2022), but that’s because all I’d tried up to then were missing cursor keys and that’s a damnable pain in the posterior. I make far too many errors when I’m typing not to be able to jump around the page.

Thankfully the diminutive Everest 60 frame has space for full-size cursor keys, and the relationship grew from there. I’m a bit of an enthusiast keyboard nerd and was prepared to be pulling out the pre-lubed Mountain switches in favor of my own Halo True switches… until I started typing.

The type feel of the Everest 60 and its supplied switches is fantastic. The dampening foam and silicone layers make it both sound and feel great, and the overall build quality is excellent. My two little boys have spent an age bashing away at both the main board and the detachable numpad, and they’ve suffered not a scratch.

The detachable numpad exemplifies the utility of the Everest 60, because as well as being a board that will let you use your pick of mechanical switches, with support for both 3- and 5-pin connections, Mountain’s store also offers accessories. The most useful being the magnetically attached numpad, which is likewise hot-swappable.

And it lets me attach it to either side of my board, too. When I’m slamming through benchmarking spreadsheets, having my right hand on my mouse and my left on the numpad makes far more sense to me. Quite why numpads are traditionally on the right I don’t know, but from now on I will always be a left numpad stan.

That is an extra cost on top of the base price of the Everest 60, as are the different colored PBT key caps you can purchase, too. But it shows that this is a keyboard that can evolve as your enthusiast keyboard obsession does.

The only downside—and was it ever thus—is the software for the keyboard is pretty rubbish. If all you want to do is fire and forget the RGB lighting, then that doesn’t really matter, though.

Apex Legends Will Now Have Two Battle Passes Per Season, Says Respawn

Apex Legends’ seasonal battle pass is undergoing a major rework prior to Season 22’s launch. In fact, it’s not fully accurate to call it one single battle pass, as Respawn has just announced that starting next season, every season will include two battle passes: one that becomes available upon the season’s launch, and one that becomes available during the middle of the season, at the same time as the seasonal Ranked Mode split.

The announcement was made via a post on the official Apex Legends Twitter account, and was accompanied by an infographic explaining the multitude of changes to the game’s long-standing battle pass system.

Previously, each season included a singular, 110-level battle pass that players had an entire three-month season to complete. The battle pass had a free tier, a premium tier available for 950 Apex Coins ($9.50 USD), and a “premium plus” tier that gave those willing to pay 2,800 AC ($28 USD) a helpful boost, unlocking the first…

First Look At Liam Hemsworth As Geralt In The Witcher Leaks Online

Henry Cavill left some pretty big shoes to fill when he stepped aside from his leading role as Geralt of Rivia at the end of The Witcher Season 3. Now, Liam Hemsworth will take over the part of Geralt for the final two seasons of The Witcher. Fans have been understandably curious to see how Hemsworth will stack up with Cavill’s take on Geralt. But if the recently leaked photos from the set are any indication, the fans may be pleased.

Via Metro, the photos come from a battle between Hemsworth’s Geralt and the sorcerer Vilgefortz (Mahesh Jadu), which appears to be a recreation of their fight from Season 3, episode 6. This suggests that Season 4 will flash back to the battle that left Geralt clinging to life by a thread.

From a distance, it’s hard to tell that the Geralt actor has been changed. Once fully in costume, Hemsworth really does resemble Cavill’s Geralt. The real question will be if Hemsworth’s performance can match his predecessor’s as well.

Game Of Thrones Spin-off A Knight Of The Seven Kingdoms Shares First Image, Adds Cast

House of the Dragon Season 2 has only just begun, but the next chapter in the Game of Thrones franchise is already underway. The next series, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, is based on George R.R. Martin’s Tales of Dunk and Egg novellas and takes place between House of the Dragon and Game of Thrones. Now that the show is in production, HBO has shared the first image from the series.

The image features Peter Claffey, who was cast earlier this year as Ser Duncan the Tall. Dexter Sol Ansell will play Egg, Duncan’s squire, whose real name is Aegon Targaryen. The novellas explored Dunk and Egg’s first meeting and how the former was given permission to serve and protect the future ruler of the seven kingdoms of Westeros.

HBO has also announced that Finn Bennett will co-star in the series as Aerion Targaryen, alongside Bertie Carvel as Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, and Sam Spruell as Maekar Targaryen. Additionally, Sarah Ad…

Gori- Cuddly Carnage Studio Is Giving Away A Furry Xbox Series X

Has Deadpool and Wolverine kicked off an arms race for ridiculous console and controller designs? Possibly, judging by this new entry from the developers behind Gori: Cuddly Carnage. Ahead of the game’s release next month, Angry Demon Studios has unveiled a one-of-a-kind Xbox Series X that features a luxurious–and hopefully synthetic–fur wrapping. This will be given away to one lucky winner who’ll have a hard time explaining what it is whenever they have company. Come from South African Online Casinos

While the design probably isn’t great for keeping the Xbox console running at an optimum temperature, it does look like the fur can come off easily. This isn’t the only piece of interesting gear created by the Gori devs, as fans can also check out a unique and furry Xbox controller that has a rectal charging port. We promise that we’re not making this up with our irresponsible Photoshop powers.–though the controlle…
